Shanghai once again acting as a bridge between East and West.
On 15 October 2025, a group of local investors were invited to the opening of Liberland’s new Shanghai Representative Office, offering an easy to access, local option to those seeking investment opportunities within Liberland, as well as the surrounding nations of Serbia and Croatia. This marks Liberland’s 16th representative office in Asia, and the second in mainland China.
Shanghai has historically been a bridge between the East and the West, and this new representative office will also be a bridge of friendship and opportunity between Liberland and China.
Furthermore, an agreement was signed between the Liberland Shanghai Representative Office and University of Shanghai's College of International Relations through which, among other things, the college will provide students to the Liberland representative office so that they gain practical, real-world administrative experience in handling international relations, investment relations, and other experience relevant to working in a consulate-type environment.
