It is with deep sorrow that I write to you on behalf of the government and people of the Free Republic of Liberland to express our heartfelt condolences upon the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.

Pope Francis’ life was a testimony to humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the service of humanity. His commitment to the values of peace, fraternity and dialogue among peoples and nations touched countless lives across the world, transcending borders, faiths and cultures. His leadership and advocacy for the dignity of every person will continue to inspire generations to come.

At this moment of mourning, we extend our sympathies to all members of the Catholic fraternity across the globe, many of whom are citizens and strong supporters of Liberland. Please be assured, Your Excellency, of our prayers for the eternal repose of His Holiness and for the consolation of all who mourn his passing.
