These buildings are to be primarily located in Croatia just outside of Liberland and are to serve as the base for future settlement.
These buildings will primarily serve as recreational, event-hosting, and living spaces for expats and must include a comprehensive range of facilities. The project will focus on the creation of multi-purpose structures that align with Liberland’s vision and values.
Project Scope:
The selected architectural firm will be tasked with designing spaces that cater to both short- and long-term living for expats and other visitors while also providing facilities for recreation and event organisation. The buildings should include, but are not limited to:
- Residential units for expats (both short- and long-term stays).
- Recreational facilities, including gyms and swimming pools.
- Medical facilities for basic healthcare needs.
- Event spaces for conferences, social gatherings, and cultural events.
- At least one restaurant or food service area.
- Additional supporting facilities as required to meet the demands of residents and visitors.
Requirements:
We are looking for an architectural firm that meets the following stringent criteria:
- A proven portfolio showcasing high-quality projects, demonstrating the ability to handle complex architectural designs and large-scale developments. While prior experience in similar venues or projects is not required, the firm must demonstrate the capability to manage a project of this scope and scale.
- The firm must demonstrate a clear alignment with Liberland’s values, including sustainability, innovation, and a commitment to creating spaces that foster community and personal freedom.
- At least 10 years of experience in architecture, with a strong track record of completed projects.
- The firm must provide built examples of their previous works, demonstrating their ability to execute large-scale projects successfully.
Budget:
The proposed budget for the project for the year 2025 is €20,000. The firm should provide a detailed proposal outlining how they plan to work within this budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Submission Requirements:
Interested firms are invited to submit the following documents to architecture@liberland.org:
- Company profile, including relevant experience and key personnel who will be working on this project.
- A portfolio showcasing previous architectural works, especially those that reflect the scale and complexity required.
- A statement of values explaining how the firm’s approach aligns with the values and vision of Liberland.
- Examples of built projects, with descriptions and visuals to demonstrate the firm’s experience and capability.
- Proposed project plan and fee structure, outlining how the firm intends to work within the 2025 budget.
Deadline:
All submissions must be received by 15 December 2024.
We look forward to receiving your proposals and partnering with a firm that shares our vision for creating iconic, functional, and community-focused spaces in Liberland.
